H & J Cabinets builds custom cabinetry for homes throughout Malibu, from the Malibu Colony and Carbon Beach to Point Dume and the canyon estates above Pacific Coast Highway. Few communities combine this range of architecture, from Spanish-style villas to glass-walled modern homes, within a single stretch of coastline.
Malibu homeowners are also rebuilding in the wake of wildfire, and many of our clients here are undertaking new construction or full remodels that call for cabinetry built to the same exacting standard as every other detail of the home.
- Severe coastal exposure Malibu's direct oceanfront exposure produces some of the harshest salt air conditions in Southern California. MDF and low-grade plywood fail quickly here. Premium hardwoods and quality plywood are the only materials that hold up.
- Canyon and fire-zone rebuilding Many Malibu homes sit in canyon and hillside terrain that carries its own building and material considerations. We work with homeowners and builders throughout the rebuilding process, from design through final installation.
