Cabinetry for
every era of the city
H & J Cabinets builds custom cabinetry for homes throughout Santa Monica, a city where classic California Craftsman bungalows, mid-century moderns, and newly built architectural homes sit block from block. North of Montana, Sunset Park, and the Santa Monica Canyon each carry their own character, and cabinetry has to be built to match.
Many of our Santa Monica clients are remodeling homes on tight, established lots where precise space planning matters as much as the finish itself. There is no standard kitchen footprint in a city built out this way.
- Dense, established lots Santa Monica's older housing stock means every remodel has to work within existing walls and dimensions. We build cabinetry to the exact measurements of the space, not the other way around.
- Coastal humidity Proximity to the ocean exposes cabinetry to consistent marine layer humidity. Premium hardwoods and quality plywood resist the swelling and warping that lower-grade materials cannot withstand.
- Architectural diversity From Craftsman bungalows to ultra-modern new builds, Santa Monica's range of home styles means no two cabinetry projects call for the same approach.
Materials, craftsmanship,
and 30 years of experience
We use traditional face-frame construction on every project, providing structural integrity that holds up as homes settle over time. Every cabinet box is built from premium hardwoods and quality plywood, with no low-grade materials in any structural area.
Our team manages design, fabrication, and installation in-house, with no subcontractors and no handoffs, from the first conversation through the final walkthrough.
Projects throughout
Santa Monica
We take on projects throughout Santa Monica, including North of Montana, Sunset Park, Santa Monica Canyon, and the city's established residential neighborhoods, spanning kitchens, primary bathrooms, built-ins, and whole-home remodels.
Every project is built exclusively for its space. No two Santa Monica homes are alike, and no two H & J projects are either.
